Welcome from the Headteacher

Thank you for visiting our school website. We hope that it gives you a flavour of life at AJS.

The children at Alexandra Junior School benefit from a stimulating and rewarding experience enriched by a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, an enthusiastic and committed staff and a strong supportive partnership with parents.

We are passionate about learning, for both children and adults. We are a learning community, and it is our aim that each child sees themselves as a successful learner. We are a school committed to providing an excellent education within a community that values and respects each child and the qualities he or she brings. We welcome parents into the school and are fully committed to a true partnership between your child, home and school. 

Our board of dedicated governors brings a wide array of skills, knowledge and experience to the school. The governors, committed to ensuring that we get the best for the children, play a full and active part in the life of the school. We work very closely with Alexandra Infant School to ensure a smooth transition for their Year 2 children into our Year 3.
